By some measures, the merger of American Airlines (AA) and US Air created the largest airline in the world. It also created a large, complex and critical need to implement the new brand in signage across more than 100 airports worldwide. AA chose South Water Signs as one of three providers on the strength of our rebranding work for United Airlines after its merger with Continental.
This was a fast-moving, complex project with a brick-wall deadline. We managed all phases of the project from permitting to installation, securing corporate, municipal and airport approvals, fabricating the signs and completing highly labor-intensive off-hour installation to minimize disruption of American’s daily operations.
